In fact, we really don’t like to think of ourselves as salespersons as much as we are educators and partners in the transaction process. We are an eclectic group with various backgrounds that help us meet the needs of our clients. The company owner & founder is Donald Griffin, Jr. who now has more than 30 years of experience in real estate. Don is focused on the betterment of the Bloomington community.
Rachel LaGrange, our office manager, is essential in all day-to-day operations of our agency, as well as attending to her own clients’ buying and selling needs. She, too, brings 30 years of experience to the team and is an invaluable resource for advice. As office manager, she oversees all transactions (making sure that all documentation is done correctly and all i’s are dotted and t’s are crossed) as well as serving as a mentor to our agents.
Tim Ballard spent his early career teaching and trading Euro options and futures at the Chicago Board of Trade, and he now uses his unique skill sets on guiding and educating clients on their investments in commercial as well as residential ownership.
Mitra Kaviani, a native of Iran, can assist our Farsi speaking clients and has over eight years of experience at Griffin Realty. Her background in statistics and accounting is invaluable knowledge for the financial aspects of buying and selling homes. Additionally, she makes some pretty amazing baked goods, available at Mitra Sweets.
Clarence Boone, Jr. previously enjoyed a 25-year career in development and alumni relations with both the Indiana University Foundation and the Indiana University Alumni Association. He also served as a liaison to the Office of the Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Multicultural Affairs.
Janie Ackerman brings experience in interior design to the team. In staging residential properties for sale, she specializes in transforming spaces into desirable designs that showcase the strengths of the property, allowing potential buyers to imagine themselves living there. For homeowners, she will help clients with projects ranging from styling a room with accents to large kitchen renovations with Ecliptic Home Staging & Design.
Nico Sigler currently serves on the Bloomington Commission on Hispanic and Latino Affairs as Chair and is Secretary for the Bloomington Playwrights Project Board. He also coordinates the events for El Mercado, a local organization that supports artists, farmers, and entrepreneurs of color in Bloomington.
